Badlands Residency Day 16

Saturday November 17

Had a breakfast feast with friends this morning, and we all sat around and built a puzzle. Not something I usually enjoy, but my OCD side was quite satisfied when we finished. Worked a lot on the snow painting today, then stopped by the Wagon Wheel.  Wish I had better light to paint by in the evenings, it's just not the same as sunlight and I find it frustrating.

Badlands Residency Day 15

Friday November 16

Was invited for a few hours of rock hunting with friends in the grasslands south of the park boundary. Beautiful area, lovely day. I'm not a serious rock hunter, but it's fun to look at all the various colors and formations. Happened to find a very small fairburn agate today, which was neat.  Stopped by John and Tricia's place for a bit, and had fun taking some photographs around the land.  After getting home, I cooked dinner for a handful of friends I met last spring, sort of reuniting the old gang. They stayed until late, and we had fun playing a bunch of different card games.
