Badlands Residency Day 3

Sunday November 4

I was in Rapid for part of today getting more paint (since some didn't arrive in time), a couple groceries, and other supplies. Met my friend Ed, a paleontologist I met at the park last spring, for early dinner and a movie with another friend of his. He's in town for the day, a nice coincidence.

I did a little prep work for teaching this week, then spent about 6 hours working on a painting I started last spring. When I was just starting to think about food, Tricia called to invite me to dinner at her and John's house. They and Ryan and Aaron were out hunting all afternoon, and so John cooked up some grouse for dinner. It was delectable.
